Shimmering

There are gardens
even in winter,
warmth to be found
in night's cold,
and this canvas
of misty blue
you can paint spring
and summer too.
There's a way up
each time we fall,
a light that glimmers
without fail.
In the dark of
twilight's cold
wave that wand
and you will find
a sky of stars -
a shimmering,
to wish upon
and fill with hope.
In the hush
be still and hear
love's lullabye
so sweet and clear.
If in your sorrow
you've lost your way
let the rain clear
the path for you.
Cause in that moment
when it's darkest
you'll find the sunrise
a heartbeat away.
There's a light that grows
each time we love,
burning strong
beyond imagining.
In despair
and in bliss too
touch that light of love
it will always be with you.
